These are my souses cited
sources primarily used (Alphabetized based on MLA sources not title)
The red pill by Cassie jaye
Jaye, Cassie, director. The Red Pill. YouTube, YouTube, 22 Nov. 2019, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXP705ezCM4&t=861s.
Cassie Jaye presents a very compelling argument for the men’s rights movement. The documentary Argues that in fact men are not privileged that men do have problems and some of those are significant problems. It was published by Cassie Jaye on YouTube but you can buy it pretty much anywhere you can stream professionally make movies and documentary.
The source is reliable because of the fact that it is very well researched and the people she interviewed have also researched it very well. Like warren Farrell who got the movement started with his book “The myth of male power” or Erin pizzei who founded the first woman’s and men’s abuse shelters in 1971.
I use it as my primary foundation to the website. Most of the things I got were from that documentary.
Middle ground between MRA’s and feminist
Jubilee, director. Men’s Rights vs Feminism: Is Toxic Masculinity Real? YouTube, YouTube, 1 Dec. 2019, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOUGNGWmN0k&t=866s.
The video gives a great middle ground to both sides, clearly illustrating both sides problems. While not as in depth as the red pill documentary it give a great run down of both sides. It was published by Jubilee as part of there “middle ground” video series
The source is reliable because of just how “raw” it is, meaning that there no fancy editing, no prompt (outside of a question to start a conversation) given by the director, it’s just Feminist and men’s rights advocates debating a problem.
I used it to get a more quick and dirty argument for or against the men’s rights movement
Cassie Jaye’s TEDx talk
“MEETING THE ENEMY A Feminist Comes to Terms with the Men’s Rights Movement | Cassie Jaye | TEDxMarin.” Performance by Cassie Jaye, YouTube, YouTube, 18 Oct. 2017, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WMuzhQXJoY.
Cassie Jays’s TEDx talk gives a great rundown on her mentality going in to the red pill. Why she did what she did and didn’t do what she didn’t do. It was published by TEDx after Cassie was invited to speak
The source is reliable because it give a view into what biases she when into this project with and the arguments that slowly swaded her
I used it as a way to understand the possible biases a feminist would have when confronted with pro MRA(Men’s rights advocates) arguments
Feminazi vs Reality
Toons, Freedom, director. Feminazi vs Reality. YouTube, YouTube, 29 Sept. 2016, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-ee840fIF8.
This video is gives a good referents for how feminist arguments work agenst MRA arguments and the logic behind them. It was published on YouTube on the YouTube chanall freedom toons
The source is reliable because it give a great ( If simplified) view of the logical thinking of the other side
I used it as a even quick and dirty view into the thinking of the other side.
